Biofilter & Odor Control

Since 2000, Agresource has been supplying biofilter media for odor control at more than 15 wastewater treatment facilities in New England. Projects have ranged from less than 100 cubic yards to over 1,000 cubic yards. Biofilter media supplied by Agresource is being used to treat odors from a variety of sources including pump stations, treatment head works, sludge thickening and dewatering, and composting operations.

 

Biofilter  Media is provided for both new installations and as a replacement when the existing media requires restoration.

 

In addition to the supply of the biofilter media, Agresource provides design consultation, works with treatment plant staff on operation troubleshooting, and provides training on biofilter operation and maintenance.

 

Agresource can  provide modular biofilter systems that can be used both for pilot demonstration purposes and odor control for small applications where “in-ground” construction may not be practical. A system installed in 2003 for an industrial client has been successfully treating odors from 6,000 cfm of air discharged from a dewatering facility.
